Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), which works in a similar way but is only readable by this site. Both are covered here.

These are needed for the site to work and do not require consent:

  • sl_session (localStorage): a random id for your visit so your quiz answers, results and purchase belong together.
  • sl_<test>_v1 (localStorage): your answers and progress, so a refresh or a lost connection does not make you start over.
  • sl_auth (localStorage): your login tokens while you are signed in.
  • sl_variant_<test> (cookie, 30 days): remembers which version of a test you were shown.
  • sl_consent (localStorage): your cookie choice.
  • sl_geo, sl_countdown_<test>, sl_once_* (sessionStorage): small helpers for the current tab only.
  • sl_attribution (localStorage): where you arrived from, used to attribute a purchase to the campaign that brought you.

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland these load only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie bar. Elsewhere they load by default, and you can still opt out below.

  • Meta Pixel (_fbp, _fbc cookies, up to 90 days): measures whether our ads lead to tests and purchases, and helps show relevant ads on Meta platforms.
  • Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk cookies, up to 12 months): anonymised session recordings and heatmaps that help us fix confusing pages.

Choose "Only essential" in the bar and nothing in section 3 loads. You can change your mind at any time:

You can also delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Doing so logs you out and clears saved quiz progress.

Meta and Microsoft set their cookies under their own privacy policies. We do not control how long they keep data beyond the settings we choose, and we only send them the events described in our Privacy Policy.
